Leo, professionally known as Yung Leonardo, is a refugee from Iraq that moved to the U.S. when he was just four years old.

Detroit’s Yung Leonardo releases his single, “Poison”, along with a music video to compliment the new track.

The artist is at the beginning phases of his career, and he has dropped a few singles thus far, such as “LAX” and “Confessions”. A few inspirations of his are Detroit’s 42 Dugg, Russ, and Lil Wayne.

He has also collaborated with other local artists, such as singer/rapper 3AM Soundz. While his name and music is rather fresh, Yung Leonardo made major changes to grow his music career. Recently, he made the move to California to seek and sieze opportunities Michigan lacks, unfortunately. Moving to California is a new page for the rising artist.

“I faced 30 years for two felonies I committed when I was 16. Luckily, I’m blessed enough to talk about it now, because it’s over.”

New days and a bright career is ahead for the artist, as well as “the good life” he describes in his 2019 single, “Good Life”.
